Students in the 2+2/2+2+2 Articulation Program are enrolled in selected courses regularly offered at their high school. These courses are articulated with Butte College courses, and students who meet the performance criteria contained within the articulation agreement receive credit for the course at Butte College.
The articulation process between high school and college faculty is facilitated by the Tech Prep Office. To date, more than 100 courses have been articulated. Each year, more than 4500 units of college credit are awarded to students who successfully complete 2+2/2+2+2 coursework. Approximately 3,000 students are eligible to earn Butte College credit, with about 1,500 students successfully earning a grade of an A or B. There are no fees associated with this program, and enrollment and crediting are carried out through the cooperative efforts of high school faculty and the Tech Prep Program at Butte College.
