Butte-Glenn Community College District is pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits package for employees and eligible family members (IRS dependent children to age 25). There are no out-of-pocket expenses to employees for monthly premiums. Coverage is effective the first day of the month following the date of hire. The package includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability Programs, an Employee Assistance Program, membership in either the State Teachers' or the Public Employees' Retirement System, a Section 125 Flexible Spending plan, and additional retirement savings options through 403(b) and/or 457 plans.
Open enrollment is held each year throughout the month of May. During this time employees are required to complete "Dependent Certification" forms and may choose a different medical plan, purchase additional life insurance, and initiate or renew Section 125 Flexible Spending plan.
