New students first step is to APPLY.
After applying students will receive a PostCard or Welcome packet explaining what is next. If you fail to receive anything within two weeks please call the Admissions Office at 895-2361
Below are the options for new students to take classes along with addtional services you may find helpful.
If you are just taking one or two courses for fun and they don't require assessment like Math, Reading or English do then you can check your TIMES TO REGISTER and preceed to Register in WebAdvisor. (see below)
If you are working towards a degree or certificate, taking more than 6 unit or plan to take a Reading, English or Math course than you must take our placement test or be cleared through assessment before registering. Call (530) 895-2350 to sign up for the test or see ASSESSMENT for practice tests and more information.
We recommend all students to go through Orientation. Students taking more than 6 units that are not EXEMPT are requred to attend Orientation. Orientation includes a Tour, Fee Breakdown, Info on Financial Aid, Important Dates, Expectations and a Counseling and Registration session.
